Priya Rana Kapoor – Executive life coach, motivational speaker, author & editor
Priya is a life coach and the founder of Give YourSelf Permission®, a program designed to foster foundational and long lasting self-awareness and empowerment.
She grew up in London, England and then spent over a decade in California earning an undergraduate degree in theatre and a master’s in marriage and family therapy, both from the University of Southern California (USC). Her post-grad research was in Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease along with providing therapy to patients and their families at USC University Hospital’s Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery. She is also a graduate of the Coach U Core Essentials Program.
Priya speaks to corporate and non-profit groups, facilitates workshops, and has appeared on NBC’s Today Show and BBC Radio Asia where she was invited to discuss women’s health issues (please see the Media area for more). As a vocal advocate for MS research, Priya is dedicated to helping the community through her work with the National MS Society. Additionally, her philanthropic commitment includes involvement with Aids Project Los Angeles, the Junior League of Los Angeles and London; Global Angels 100 Club and served on the board of the USC Alumni Club of London. She currently lives in Santa Barbara, CA, but commutes to London to speak, work with clients and visit with family and friends. She hopes to travel more, visit new countries and learn as much as she can from different cultures.

James Charles Darnborough – President & Publisher
James has over 25 years experience in print and digital media. Born in London, England he was on the team that launched ‘Harrods’ magazine. During volatile times in South Africa he emigrated to Johannesburg to start his own magazine publishing company. He created and launched that country’s first PGA (golf) magazine, and the magazine for the historic ‘Invictus’ 1995 Rugby World Cup. Subsequent publications included The Goodwill Games Magazine (St Petersburg), the PGA (seniors) Annual (USA), and Mining Technology magazines in Australia. Back in London James became Chelsea Magazines’ Client Development Manager working across Britain Magazine (Winner-Best Magazine, British Travel Awards), Independent School Parent and Cruise International. He creates long-term strategies and revenue streams through global brand advertising.
Life high points include first parachute jump age 16 with the Royal Green Jackets Regiment, British Army and later serving with 10th Parachute Regiment; witnessing Nelson Mandela wearing the captains shirt and lifting the Rugby World Cup for South Africa. Sleeping under Australia’s big skies and realizing a life long dream of living in Southern California.
